The Dons completed their comeback after a goal from junior midfielder Emma Clarke with 8:20 remaining tied the contest at 6-6. Clarke finished the game with 3 goals and 1 assist. Senior midfielder Julianna Glafkides also added 3 goals and junior attack player Kate Fitzgerald scored once.
The Dons struggled with possession in the first half, trailing 1-3 at the break, but junior goalie Gaby Navarro kept the team in it with 6 huge saves. Navarro finished with 14 saves and received a lot of support from a stellar defense. Defender Allie Kotowitz helped the Dons overcome their early struggles, finishing with 4 caused turnovers and 4 ground ball controls.
The Dons will play Burlingame in the championship game on May 13th at Palo Alto High School.
